Here's what we recommend you do to get up and running!
Sign up to Middle
New to Middle? If you're not with an integrated partner you'll need to get in touch so we can onboard you and create your account. Email us and we'll walk you through what's required!
Once your account has been created you can login to the Middle Broker Portal to select your plan and activate your free trial.

Logging into the Middle Broker Portal
After signing up and being onboarded to Middle, log into the Middle Broker Portal.
Start by:
- Going to https://brokers.middle.finance/login
- Enter your email address and follow the prompts
- You'll then be prompted to start your free trial by selecting a plan!

Setup your broker branding
After logging in:
- In the top right corner click on the User menu (letter of your first name) and then 'Manage account'
- You'll now be in the 'Manage account' space with 'Profile' opened by default
- Add your profile picture, update your brokerage logo and display name
NB: These changes will be highly visible to your client (in email comms and during the journey) so make sure it looks great!

Customise documents and templates
- In the top right corner click on the User menu (letter of your first name) and then 'Manage account'
- In the left hand side, click on 'Documents & templates'
- On the templates tab select create a template on the left hand side to create a customisable document list for different client types FHB, PAYG etc.
- Once a template has been created it will be made available for deployment to customers in the document management centre
- Brokers can also update our standard documents description or add custom documents via the documents tab. Updating documents descriptions here will be applied to these document types going forward
Why create a template?: Adding templates helps you quickly request and deploy the documents you need in a single click!

Send out a Middle Discovery Journey (fact find)
- If you aren't already there, click on the Middle logo to return to the Discovery Journeys page
- Press the 'Create' button
- Follow the prompts to set up your Discovery Journey
- For new to Middle clients, you can optionally check on 'Add additional client details' to pre-fill Personal details and Residential history (expanded functionality is being worked on!)
- Optionally toggle on any documents that are required at this stage (you can always request some later!)
- Finalise by pressing 'Send Discovery Journey'

Request documents from your clients
- Select a Discovery Journey you wish to request documents against
- Select ‘Documents’ on the left hand side or manage documents on the right hand side of the application overview
- Click on ‘Select’ documents to right. And either select your preferred template to quickly load your favourites or manually select documents for this application.
- Hit ‘Done’ to return to the previous screen. Review your selections, then finalise your request by clicking on
- ‘Update’ at the bottom of the page
Engaging with your clients about Middle

Understand the client experience
Take some time to familiarise yourself with how your client experiences Middle!
- When you send a Discovery Journey to joint applicants, the Secondary applicant will be invited first so they can choose between:
- entering in their information (personal details, identification and any bank connections)
- OR consent to the Primary applicant entering their info. on their behalf Coming soon!
If a client can’t find the email for any reason, don’t worry! They can simply login at https://app.middle.finance using their email address
- Once the secondary applicant has submitted their information (personal details, identification and any bank connections), the Primary applicant will be automatically notified by email to login to Middle to share their information (which includes declaring financial information for both themselves and their Secondary applicant)
- Applicants will receive reminder emails to login to Middle after 2 days, 5 days and 10 days so they're encouraged to get started

Import data into your CRM (integrated partners only)
If you're with one of our integrated partners, you can import your Discovery Journey data directly:
- Finsure brokers: Importing into Infynity
Download bank transactions & Equifax reports
- Login to the Broker Portal, navigate to the application you are interested in and click on ‘Finances’ in the left side navigation menu
- You’ll now be in the ‘Connected accounts’ tab where a ‘Transactions’ button is available to download an excel workbook containing categorised transaction history
- In the ‘Equifax credit history’ tab, you can expand the view of any applicant who has had their Equifax credit file pulled (by successfully verifying their identity using their Driver Licence)
- Click on ‘View PDF’ to view and to download the full Equifax formatted PDF file
